This quest counts for the Aiding the Norcrofts deed. Completing Aiding the Eastemnet will cancel this quest This is an instanced public questing area. Directions to Totem - From the entrance portal move (west) up the stairs ahead. - Turn right (north) at the half landing up more stairs. - At the top of the short staircase turn right (east) and head down a short aisled corridor with a mob at the end. - At the end turn left (north) and follow the red carpet to the end where you will see the Orc Totem objective to your left (west). Click to interact and destroy it to complete this quest. Possibly other totem locations not noted here. Leave by returning to the entrance portal or quicker, click 'Leave Instance' from your character portrait menu once you have completed the Ost Magol quests.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'The ancient ruins of Ost Magol hold an ancient power to them, one I do not understand. The Orcs that are searching the ruins are looking for something, perhaps a way to tap into that power and use it for their foul purposes. 'Search the ruins and find the totems they have placed to channel that power, then destroy them.' Background Orcs have been defiling Ost Magol with the totems of their dark leaders. Objective 1 Destroy a totem in Ost Magol Totems can be found in the ruins of Ost Magol. Aldbéort asked you to venture into Ost Magol and destroy the Orc-totems within. Aldbéort: 'The Orcs within Ost Magol cannot be trusted. I do not know what dark trickery they wish to perform within the shadows of the ruins, and I wish never to learn.' Enter the Public Instance: Ost Magol Objective 2 Talk to Aldbéort Aldbéort is in Cliving. Aldbéort will be pleased to hear the Orc totems in Ost Magol have been destroyed. Aldbéort: 'The totems have been destroyed, and Ost Magol is secure for now. I have no doubt the Orcs will return, but that is tomorrow's problem.'
